About Me

Hi, I'm Dr. Rasit Cevizci, an Associate Professor and board-certified specialist in ENT and facial plastic surgery, based in Istanbul. If you're considering rhinoplasty or facial harmony surgery, I'd like you to know a little about who I am and how I got here, because I think the person behind the surgery matters as much as the surgery itself.

Education

My path into medicine

I studied medicine at Istanbul University Medical Faculty, graduating in 2006. From there, I completed my residency in Otorhinolaryngology  ear, nose, and throat surgery  at Gazi University in Ankara, finishing in 2011. ENT surgery gave me a deep, structural understanding of the nose: not just how it looks, but how it works breathing, function, and form together. That foundation has shaped the way I approach every rhinoplasty I perform.

Early in my career, I spent time training abroad at the Netherlands Cancer Institute's Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital in Amsterdam, observing head and neck surgery at one of Europe's leading cancer centers. That experience broadened how I think about surgical precision and patient care.

I went on to hold academic teaching positions first as Assistant Professor at Medipol University's Department of Otorhinolaryngology, and later as Associate Professor at Beykent University, also in Istanbul. Teaching pushed me to stay current with research and technique, and to never stop questioning how things could be done better. Alongside my clinical work, I've published more than 30 papers in international medical journals, covering everything from facial reconstruction to ear surgery  research that keeps me grounded in evidence, not just experience.

"Today, I focus exclusively on rhinoplasty surgery at my own clinic in Istanbul, where a large part of my practice is international patients traveling from the UK, Germany, Australia, the UAE, and the United States. I know that choosing a surgeon abroad takes real trust, so I make sure that trust is supported: clear communication in English, a thorough consultation, and a team that takes care of the practical side of your visit, airport transfers, hotel arrangements, and aftercare  so you can focus on your recovery.

My passion is finding practical solutions for my patients  not just in surgery, but anywhere I see a real problem I can help solve. That's also why, beyond my surgical practice, I've developed multiple healthcare innovations, including Tinnimizer, a sound therapy app I built to help people manage tinnitus through personalized therapy tailored to their own hearing profile and music preferences. It's now used by patients in 11 languages worldwide, and it reflects the same hands-on, patient-first approach I bring to every consultation.

If you're thinking about taking this step, I'd like to hear what you're hoping for, and talk through whether I'm the right fit to help you get there."
